Migrant Education and Training Support (METS)

Overview and Objectives

CALIFORNIA – Developed an evaluation plan with full instrumentation to San Jose, CA, Summer Migrant Education Program and executed that evaluation plan with grades K-8 summer program sites (for the Department of Education, Migrant Education Program, Region 13).

DELAWARE – Provided recruitment and canvassing support to the Delaware Migrant Education Program (for the Migrant Education Program).

INDIANA – Delivered consultation services and four days of basic Identification and Recruitment Training to the Indiana Migrant Education Program (for the Migrant Education Program).

IDAHO – Completed two contracts with the Idaho Migrant Education Program: provided identification and recruitment training for recruiters and coordinators; and developed a migrant education program policy manual (for the Migrant Education Program).

MONTANA – Provided facilitation and consultation services for the National Association of State Directors of Migrant Education, including support for the National Migrant Education Conference, and basic Identification and Recruitment Training for Montana Migrant Education Program (for the Migrant Education Program).

WASHINGTON – The Center for Human Services evaluated the implementation of services outlined in the Washington State Service Delivery Plan to determine the effectiveness of State Migrant Education Program projects and programs.
